Introduction to Sex Education
Hi. Welcome to Time4Facts. My name is Jen Divine. This is a unique program for parents and youth all about puberty. We have three main objectives in this program. The first is to ensure that our youth grow up to become healthy adults. The second is to increase the comfort level in families in talking about this. And the third, where we will spend most of our time, is exploring the physical and emotional changes that happen during this time. So, why's is important to talk about puberty? Well, because everyone wants to know. Parents want their youth to know what's happening to them as they grow up. And youth are curious. We know that increasing people's comfort and knowledge can also build their self esteem and maturity. Plus, the more people learn about comprehensive puberty education, the longer they tend to delay their sexual activity. We've organized this information in such a way that your youth will get all of the information that they need. We've based each section on the developmentally appropriate guidelines for the age groups within puberty. This program is unique. Its organized by clips that cover all of the important changes during puberty. What's exciting about it is you get to tailor-make the curriculum for your child so that you can teach them everything you want them to know about puberty, no more, no less.
